Pork pairs beautifully with sweeter flavors, like juicy summer peaches, particularly when the pork chops and peaches are both grilled to perfection. A sweet and savory marinade sets the pork up for success, and an easy homemade marinade does double duty as a quick glaze for the peaches! Serve with salad greens and vinaigrette, a pasta salad, or a side of fragrant rice for a refreshing family dinner this summer, ready in no time.
6 bone-in pork chops 6 peaches, halved and pit removed
For sauce/marinade ½ cup Kikkoman® Soy Sauce ¼ cup honey 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar 2 tablespoons olive oil 2 teaspoons fresh thyme, chopped
Whisk together ingredients for marinade in a small bowl. Reserve ¼ cup for brushing on the peaches.
Place pork chops in a large shallow dish and pour the other ¾ marinade on top. Cover and refrigerate 2-4 hours.
Heat gas grill to 450ºF over direct heat. Remove pork chops from marinade and discard marinade. Sear pork chops for 3 minutes on each side. Lower heat to 350ºF and continue to grill for 6-7 minutes depending on how thick your pork chops are. Place on a serving tray and rest while cooking peaches.
Brush the cut side of peaches with reserved marinade and place on the hot grill. Cook for 5-6 minutes. Serve grilled peaches alongside pork chops.
