Sriracha Salt

Ingredients

Yield: ¼ cup of salt
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 45 minutes

¼ cup coarse sea salt
3 teaspoons Kikkoman® Sriracha Hot Chili Sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F.
  2. Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
  3. While the oven is heating, stir together sea salt and sriracha sauce until they have been mixed thoroughly.
  4. Pour salt onto baking sheet in a single layer and place into the oven.
  5. As soon as the salt is in the oven, turn the oven off, but keep the door shut.
  6. As the oven cools, the salt will dry out. This can take 30-45 minutes.
  7. Remove from oven and allow to cool. Once cool, break salt apart either with your hands or with a mortar and pestle. Store as you would normal sea salt.
