½ medium pear, peeled and chopped ½ cup beef/chicken broth ¼ cup Kikkoman® Soy Sauce 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce 3 tablespoons brown sugar 4 cloves garlic, chopped ½ medium onion, chopped 1 inch piece fresh ginger, chopped 2 teaspoons Kikkoman® Rice Vinegar 2 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds 1 teaspoon Kikkoman® Sesame Oil 2 beef steaks (pick your favorite!) seasoned with ¼ teaspoon salt and pepper
Blend the pear, beef broth, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, garlic, onion, and ginger in a blender until smooth.
Pour the sauce into a small pan and cook on medium high heat. Bring to a boil and then lower the heat and allow to simmer for 10 minutes, stirring every couple of minutes.
Strain the sauce and try to press on the puree to get as much out as possible.
Put the strained sauce back on the stove and keep cooking on medium heat until the sauce has reduced and thickened for 5 minutes.
Add rice vinegar, sesame seeds and sesame oil. Stir to combine, but then remove from heat.
Preheat your grill to medium high heat and once it’s hot, place the steaks on the grill.
Grill steaks until they are done to your preference, but it should take around 10-12 minutes. Flip halfway.
To serve, pour pear sauce over grilled steak. We like to garnish with some added pear ribbons.
