ingredients

1 salmon fillet, cubed
2 tablespoons + 1 tablespoon Kikkoman® Poke Sauce, divided
1 teaspoon Kikkoman® Sesame Oil
1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
1 head of butter lettuce
1 avocado, diced
¼ cup cucumber, sliced
1 red pepper, sliced

directions

  1. In a bowl, toss salmon together with 2 tablespoons of poke sauce, sesame oil, and ginger. Allow to marinade for 1 hour.
  2. When ready to cook, heat a non-stick pan to medium high heat and add the salmon and marinade. Sautee for 5-10 minutes or until the salmon is cooked through and flaky, but still holding together.
  3. To assemble, place a spoonful of the salmon onto a lettuce leaf and top with a few cubes of avocado, a couple pieces of cucumber, and a couple of slices of red pepper. Drizzle with remaining poke sauce.

THE STORY OF SOY SAUCE

Even people who love soy sauce and use it all the time are often surprised to learn what it is and how it’s made. We make ours from just four simple ingredients—water, soybeans, wheat, and salt. Those ingredients are transformed through a traditional brewing process—much like making wine or beer—that has remained unchanged for centuries.
