Teriyaki Takumi Fried Rice

A quick dinner, an easy meal prep recipe, a tasty leftover lunch, a midnight snack for your late-night cravings: this fried rice takes care of all that and more! Have food on the table in under 40 minutes with just 9 ingredients. Serve it as a side dish with your fried or grilled protein of choice, add a serving of stir-fry veggies, and drizzle with more Kikkoman® Teriyaki Takumi for major flavor. Swap in other grains, like quinoa or faro, if you’re in the mood.

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 33 minutes
Total Time: 38 minutes

1 cup dry white rice
1 tablespoon Kikkoman® Sesame Oil
½ cup chopped bell pepper
½ cup grated carrot
⅔ cup peas, thawed if frozen
¼ cup coarsely chopped raw cashews
⅓ cup Kikkoman® Teriyaki Takumi, Original
⅓ cup chopped green onion
⅓ cup fresh basil leaves, loosely packed


  1. Cook rice according to package directions, about 20 minutes. Once rice is cooked, heat sesame oil over medium heat in a medium-sized skillet. Add bell pepper and carrot. Sauté for 5 minutes. Increase heat to medium-high and stir in rice.  Continue to cook for 3-5 minutes.
  2. Gently stir in peas, cashews and Takumi sauce until thoroughly combined. Cook for 3 minutes longer. Turn heat off and stir in green onion and basil. Serve hot.
