Honey Sesame Granola

Need a quick snack to boost your energy? Whether you're feeding kids after school or just need a quick jumpstart to your day, this homemade granola packs the flavors and the nutrients together for a truly delicious bite! Top with dried fruit, serve over yogurt, or add plain old-fashioned milk for a breakfast cereal you'll love. Add some granola to trail mix for a delicious snack for the kids or for mid-afternoon at your desk! Brunch is served!

Ingredients

Cook Time: 22 minutes
Total Time: 1 hour 27 minutes

3 cups old fashioned oats
⅓ cup honey
3 tablespoons Kikkoman® Sesame Oil
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
¼ teaspoon nutmeg
¼ teaspoon ginger, ground
¼ teaspoon sea salt

For serving
Yogurt
Fresh and dried fruit
Nuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325ºF. Line a medium baking pan with parchment paper. Combine ingredients in a medium mixing bowl and stir until oats are moistened.
  2. Pour oat mixture onto baking sheet and spread evenly. Bake for 10 minutes. Use a wooden spatula to stir oats and continue to bake for 10-12 minutes longer or until golden brown. Cool oats in pan completely, about 1 hour.
  3. Store granola in a jar in a dry cool spot. Serve ¼ cup of granola over yogurt topped with berries, fruit and nuts, or other favorite toppings.
