For Fried Tomatoes ⅓ cup all-purpose flour 2 eggs, beaten ⅔ cup Kikkoman® Sriracha Panko or Kikkoman® Coconut Panko ½ teaspoon dried thyme ⅛ teaspoon garlic powder 1 teaspoon sea salt ½ cup avocado oil or any neutral vegetable oil 1 large beefsteak tomato, sliced into 4 slices about ½ inch thick
For BLT 4 slices bread, toasted if desired 4 fried tomatoes 2 pieces of leafy lettuce 4 strips cooked bacon 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
Add flour to a bowl, add eggs to a separate bowl and beat well. Add panko breadcrumbs, thyme, garlic powder and salt to a 3rd bowl.
Coat each slice of tomato in flour completely. Then dunk in egg and coat in panko mixture. Set onto a plate.
Heat oil in a non-stick pan over medium-high heat for 4-5 minutes. Add 2 slices of tomato at a time and fry for 3-4 minutes on each side. Repeat with remaining slices of tomato. Set fried tomato slices on a paper towel lined plate to soak up any oil.
To assemble each sandwich, spread 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise on each piece of bread and top with 2 fried tomatoes, lettuce, and bacon. Enjoy right away.
