kikkoman products used:

ingredients

1 loaf sourdough bread
1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
6 tablespoons salted butter
1 teaspoon Kikkoman® Sriracha Hot Chili Sauce
1 teaspoon garlic, minced
2 tablespoons curly parsley, finely chopped

directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375ºF and position oven rack to the center position. Line a medium baking sheet with foil. Without cutting through bottom of bread, slice bread diagonally making 1-inch cuts using a sharp serrated knife. Combine shredded cheeses in a small bowl.
  2. Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Stir in garlic, sriracha and parsley and cook 2 minutes. Spoon butter mixture into each slice in the bread, reserving about 2 tablespoons for later.
  3. Fill cuts of bread with shredded cheese mixture and place loaf onto baking sheet. Cover bread with another piece of aluminum foil. Bake for 10 minutes. Remove top layer of aluminum foil and brush bread with remaining butter mixture. Bake 10 minutes longer, uncovered. Serve hot.

THE STORY OF SOY SAUCE

Even people who love soy sauce and use it all the time are often surprised to learn what it is and how it’s made. We make ours from just four simple ingredients—water, soybeans, wheat, and salt. Those ingredients are transformed through a traditional brewing process—much like making wine or beer—that has remained unchanged for centuries.
