kikkoman products used:

ingredients

8 ounces cream cheese
¼ cup mayonnaise
¼ cup sour cream
1 tablespoon Kikkoman® Sriracha Hot Chili Sauce
1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
1 clove garlic, minced
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon sugar
8 ounces fresh lump crab meat, well drained
3 green onions, sliced, 1 tablespoon of dark green part reserved for garnish
¾ cup + ¼ cup shredded Monterey jack cheese, divided
¼ cup Kikkoman® Gluten-Free Sweet Chili Sauce
24 wonton wrappers, cut in half (one 6-ounce package)
Vegetable oil, for frying
1 teaspoon sea salt

directions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  2. Microwave cream cheese in a large, microwave-safe bowl on high heat until the cream cheese is softened. Heat in 15 second increments until it has softened to the point where you can whisk it until fully smooth.
  3. Add mayonnaise, sour cream, sriracha, lime juice, garlic, salt, and sugar, whisking again.
  4. Add crab meat, green onions, and ¾ cup of cheese. Fold together to mix but be careful not to break apart the crab meat too much.
  5. Pour the dip into a 1 quart baking dish, spreading it evenly. Top with ¼ cup of cheese and bake uncovered for approximately 25 minutes or until bubbling and the cheese has melted.
  6. Remove dip from the oven and pour sweet chili sauce over the top. Sprinkle with reserved green onions for garnish.
  7. To make the wonton chips, pour ¾ inch of vegetable oil into a heavy pot or Dutch oven. Heat oil to 350°F. Fry wontons in small batches for about 15 seconds on each side. Once the wontons are brown and crisp, they’re done! Drain on paper towel and sprinkle with sea salt.

THE STORY OF SOY SAUCE

Even people who love soy sauce and use it all the time are often surprised to learn what it is and how it’s made. We make ours from just four simple ingredients—water, soybeans, wheat, and salt. Those ingredients are transformed through a traditional brewing process—much like making wine or beer—that has remained unchanged for centuries.
