kikkoman products used:

ingredients

½ cup Kikkoman® Rice Vinegar
⅓ cup olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons freshly chopped dill
1 tablespoons freshly chopped mint
1 teaspoon dried oregano
½ teaspoon sea salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
2 pounds flank steak
1-2 tablespoons vegetable oil

directions

  1. Stir together rice vinegar, olive oil, garlic, dill, mint, oregano, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.
  2. Place steak into a shallow pan and pour the marinade over the meat until coated, reserving a couple of tablespoons of the marinade for later. Cover and marinate 2-8 hours.
  3. Preheat grill or cast-iron grill pan over medium-high heat and grease with vegetable oil. When grill is very hot, place steak on using tongs and grill for 5 minutes on each side or until it reaches desired doneness. Transfer steak to a cutting board to rest for 10 minutes. Slice meat diagonally against the grain and serve topped with reserved marinade.

THE STORY OF SOY SAUCE

Even people who love soy sauce and use it all the time are often surprised to learn what it is and how it’s made. We make ours from just four simple ingredients—water, soybeans, wheat, and salt. Those ingredients are transformed through a traditional brewing process—much like making wine or beer—that has remained unchanged for centuries.
