For the Pretzel Bites
- In the bowl of a stand mixer add your water, yeast, and sugar. Mix and let sit for 5 minutes. Add the fried rice seasoning mix, butter and flour. Mix on
medium-low speed with the dough hook attachment for 5-7 minutes until smooth. Transfer to a lightly greased bowl and cover for 20 minutes. - Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and preheat oven to 400°F. Add baking soda and water into a large pot and bring to a boil.
- Lightly flour your work surface and cut your dough into 8 pieces. Roll each piece into ½ inch thick logs and use a pizza cutter or knife to cut into ½ thick
cubes (doesn’t have to be perfect!). - Dunk them in boiling water mixture for about 10 seconds, then immediately scoop out with a slotted spoon and place on the baking sheet.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. While hot, add to a large mixing bowl and toss in more fried rice seasoning mix. Enjoy!
For the Cheese Sauce
- Melt butter over medium heat in a medium saucepan. Once melted add flour and constantly stir for 2 minutes. Slowly drizzle in milk while whisking until fully
incorporated. Keep whisking for 3-5 minutes until thickened. - Add cheese, paprika, and salt to taste. Mix until fully dissolved and enjoy!
