ingredients

1 tablespoon olive oil 
1 pound sirloin steak, cubed
½ teaspoon black pepper 
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning 
3 tablespoons unsalted butter 
1 tablespoon minced garlic 
8 ounces sliced cremini mushrooms 
¼ cup Kikkoman® Umami Joy Sauce  

For serving
2 tablespoons green onions, chopped 

directions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large cast iron skillet over medium-high heat for 2 minutes. While oil heats, stir together cubed steak, black pepper and Italian seasoning.  
  2. Add steak to hot skillet and sear for 5 minutes, turning steak bites after 2-3 minutes. Transfer to a plate.  
  3. Reduce heat to medium. Melt butter in skillet and use a spatula to scrape up any browned bits on the skillet. Add minced garlic. Sauté for 1 minute. 
  4. Add mushrooms and sauté for 3 minutes longer.  
  5. Stir in Umami Joy Sauce and add steak back to skillet. Cook for 2 minutes longer.  
  6. Serve hot garnished with chopped green onion.
