kikkoman products used:

ingredients

2 pounds chicken wing pieces
½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
2 tablespoons Kikkoman® Sriracha Hot Chili Sauce
½ cup light brown sugar
3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
¼ teaspoon onion powder

directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400ºF and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Blot chicken wings dry with paper towel and place in a medium mixing bowl.
  2. Melt butter over medium heat in a saucepan. Once butter melts stir in sriracha, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar and onion powder until brown sugar dissolves, about 4 minutes. Cool mixture for 10 minutes at room temperature. Reserve ¼ cup of mixture in a small bowl and set aside. Pour remaining sauce over wings and stir to coat.
  3. Place wings onto baking sheet about ½ inch apart and bake for 25 minutes. Use tongs to turn wings and bake an additional 20-25 minutes. Cool wings 5 minutes at room temperature to allow skin to crisp. Drizzle reserved sauce over wings and enjoy.

THE STORY OF SOY SAUCE

Even people who love soy sauce and use it all the time are often surprised to learn what it is and how it’s made. We make ours from just four simple ingredients—water, soybeans, wheat, and salt. Those ingredients are transformed through a traditional brewing process—much like making wine or beer—that has remained unchanged for centuries.
