kikkoman products used:

ingredients

½ cup warm water
1 teaspoon sugar
1 (.25oz) package dry active yeast
2 cups all-purpose flour
½ cup Greek yogurt
1 tablespoon Kikkoman® Sesame Oil, plus extra for brushing
1 teaspoon minced garlic
¼ teaspoon salt

directions

  1. Whisk together warm water, sugar, and yeast in a small bowl. Allow yeast to activate for 10 minutes.
  2. On a clean work surface, pour flour and create a well in the center. Pour yeast mixture, garlic, yogurt and oil in center and form into dough. Knead for 10 minutes. Place dough in a small bowl and cover with a damp towel. Place in a warm spot to rise for 1 hour.
  3. Divide dough into 6 equal portions. Flour work surface and roll dough out using a rolling pin into thin 8 inch oval discs.
  4. Heat a cast iron pan over medium-high heat for 3 minutes and lightly grease with sesame oil. Place 1 piece of Naan on hot skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until Naan puffs and turns brown in spots.
  5. Brush Naan with sesame oil and sprinkle with sea salt. Set aside and repeat with remaining pieces. Serve warm.

THE STORY OF SOY SAUCE

Even people who love soy sauce and use it all the time are often surprised to learn what it is and how it’s made. We make ours from just four simple ingredients—water, soybeans, wheat, and salt. Those ingredients are transformed through a traditional brewing process—much like making wine or beer—that has remained unchanged for centuries.
