About this recipe

Juicy grilled steak meets peak-season heirloom tomatoes in this bold, no-fuss dinner salad. It’s fresh, colorful, and hearty enough to count as a full meal—basically what happens when a grilled steak salad decides to dress up for summer. Perfect for nights when you want something light but still seriously satisfying.

Tips & Tricks

  • Salt the tomatoes first. Let heirloom slices sit with a pinch of salt for 5–10 minutes to draw out flavor and make your heirloom tomato salad recipe pop.
  • Rest the steak. Give grilled steak at least 5 minutes before slicing to keep your easy steak salad recipe juicy.

  4. Top salad with sliced steak and fresh basil. Serve right away.

THE STORY OF SOY SAUCE

Even people who love soy sauce and use it all the time are often surprised to learn what it is and how it’s made. We make ours from just four simple ingredients—water, soybeans, wheat, and salt. Those ingredients are transformed through a traditional brewing process—much like making wine or beer—that has remained unchanged for centuries.
