kikkoman products used:

ingredients

4 pounds chicken wing drumettes
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
3 green onions, including tops, minced
1/4 cup thinly sliced fresh ginger
4 cloves garlic, minced or pressed
1 (12-ounce) bottle Kikkoman Sweet & Sour Dipping Sauce
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon Kikkoman Soy Sauce

directions

Heat oven to 400°F. Place chicken wings in one layer on a nonstick baking sheet; bake for 20 minutes. Drain liquid, turn wings over and bake for 25 minutes more or until lightly browned and cooked through.

While wings are cooking, melt butter in a skillet. Add green onions, ginger and garlic; sauté for 3 minutes. Add sweet & sour dipping sauce, brown sugar and soy sauce; stir until sugar has dissolved and sauce is heated through. Remove wings from oven and place in a bowl. Pour sauce over wings and toss to coat. Serve hot.

THE STORY OF SOY SAUCE

Even people who love soy sauce and use it all the time are often surprised to learn what it is and how it’s made. We make ours from just four simple ingredients—water, soybeans, wheat, and salt. Those ingredients are transformed through a traditional brewing process—much like making wine or beer—that has remained unchanged for centuries.
