- Preheat a charcoal or wood-fired grill to high heat.
- Pat the steaks dry and rub with avocado oil.
- Season all sides of the steaks with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Place the steaks directly over the hot coals and begin grilling.
- When steaks are halfway cooked (around 4–5 minutes in), begin brushing with teriyaki sauce.
- Flip the steaks and continue basting on the second side, building a sticky, flavorful glaze.
- Cook until the internal temperature reaches 125°F for medium rare or desired doneness.
- Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing.
- Slice and serve with your favorite sides.
