Tips and Tricks

  • To make the peppers easier to stuff, slice them lengthwise and remove the seeds carefully to keep their shape intact.
  • For a vegetarian option, swap the ground beef for black beans or quinoa and use a plant-based teriyaki sauce.
  • If you’re trying to figure out what to serve with these delicious stuffed peppers, try a side of cauliflower rice or a light cucumber salad for a refreshing contrast.
  • Double the recipe and freeze the stuffed peppers after baking for quick and easy meals later on.

THE STORY OF SOY SAUCE

Even people who love soy sauce and use it all the time are often surprised to learn what it is and how it’s made. We make ours from just four simple ingredients—water, soybeans, wheat, and salt. Those ingredients are transformed through a traditional brewing process—much like making wine or beer—that has remained unchanged for centuries.
