ingredients

3 eggs
2 tablespoons neutral oil
½ can spam
3 tablespoons KikkomanĀ® Teriyaki Takumi, Original
3 cups cooked white rice
1½ tablespoons Furikake seasoning
1 sheet Nori

directions

  1. Crack 3 eggs into a small mixing bowl and beat eggs well. Heat 2 tablespoons of neutral oil over medium heat in a pan. Toss in the egg mixture and scramble the eggs and cook thoroughly. Transfer eggs into a large mixing bowl.
  2. Chop up ½ can of spam into small squares. Toss the spam in a medium pan over medium heat and cook for 4-5 minutes. Add in teriyaki sauce and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes. Transfer into the same large mixing bowl as the eggs.
  3. Add 3 cups of cooked white rice along with Furikake into the same large mixing bowl. Mix everything well. Grab a handful of the rice mixture and roll it tightly into a ball, then shape it into a triangle. Finish it off with a small sheet of nori to wrap the bottom of the onigiri.

THE STORY OF SOY SAUCE

Even people who love soy sauce and use it all the time are often surprised to learn what it is and how it’s made. We make ours from just four simple ingredients—water, soybeans, wheat, and salt. Those ingredients are transformed through a traditional brewing process—much like making wine or beer—that has remained unchanged for centuries.
