1 pound fresh Kale
2 tablespoons Kikkoman Sesame Oil
2 tablespoons garlic, minced
1/4 cup Kikkoman Soy Sauce
1 teaspoon sugar
2 tablespoons Kikkoman Seasoned Rice Vinegar
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

directions

Tear the stems from the kale and chop up the leaves. Place in a colander and rinse thoroughly under cold running water, drain and set aside. In a small bowl combine the soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, sugar and crushed red pepper flakes to make the garlic sauce. Heat a large wok or pot over high heat, add sesame oil and the kale, tossing to stir fry for 5 minutes until the leaves are slightly wilted.  Add the garlic sauce, stir to combine.

THE STORY OF SOY SAUCE

Even people who love soy sauce and use it all the time are often surprised to learn what it is and how it’s made. We make ours from just four simple ingredients—water, soybeans, wheat, and salt. Those ingredients are transformed through a traditional brewing process—much like making wine or beer—that has remained unchanged for centuries.
