ingredients

For the dressing:
3 tablespoons + 1 teaspoon Kikkoman Less Sodium Soy Sauce
3 tablespoons Kikkoman Rice Vinegar
2 tablespoons smooth peanut butter
2 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons cilantro, chopped
1 teaspoon Kikkoman Sesame Oil
1/2 teaspoon lime juice
1/2 teaspoon grated ginger root

For the slaw:
3 cups green cabbage, shredded
3 cups red cabbage, shredded
1 cup carrot, grated
1/3 cup toasted peanuts, roughly chopped

directions

Combine all of the dressing ingredients in a medium bowl. Whisk until the peanut butter is dissolved. Set aside.

Combine all the slaw ingredients in a large bowl. Add dressing and toss well. Allow the slaw to sit for about 10 minutes so the vegetables can absorb the flavors of the dressing. Top salad with toasted peanuts and serve.

THE STORY OF SOY SAUCE

Even people who love soy sauce and use it all the time are often surprised to learn what it is and how it’s made. We make ours from just four simple ingredients—water, soybeans, wheat, and salt. Those ingredients are transformed through a traditional brewing process—much like making wine or beer—that has remained unchanged for centuries.
