1 pound thinly sliced flank steak
¼ cup tapioca flour
1 tablespoon cornstarch
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
½ cup Kikkoman® Orange Sauce

For Serving

Green onion, sliced

directions

  1. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat to 375ºF. While oil heats, blot excess moisture from steak with paper towel and add to a medium bowl.
  2. Stir together tapioca flour, cornstarch, salt and pepper in a small bowl. Pour flour mixture on steak and toss to coat.
  3. Using tongs, add steak to hot oil shaking off excess flour back into bowl. Cook steak until crispy, about 5-6 minutes, stirring occasionally for even browning.
  4. Remove steak from skillet and add to a bowl with orange sauce. Stir to coat.
  5. Serve hot over rice topped with green onion and sliced oranges.

THE STORY OF SOY SAUCE

Even people who love soy sauce and use it all the time are often surprised to learn what it is and how it’s made. We make ours from just four simple ingredients—water, soybeans, wheat, and salt. Those ingredients are transformed through a traditional brewing process—much like making wine or beer—that has remained unchanged for centuries.
