ingredients

7-ounce Tofu (Firm)

1 piece Hanpen Fish Cake 

5 JFC Imitation Crab Sticks 

1 tablespoon of Kikkoman®Sesame Oil

 

Seasoning (A):

1 teaspoon Japanese Dashi Granules 

Salt: a pinch

1 tablespoon of Potato Starch (Katakuriko)

 

Dipping Sauce (B):

3.5 ounce Onion (Grated)

3.5 ounce Onion (Chopped)

3 Green onions

2 tablespoons of Kikkoman®Ponzu Sauce

2 tablespoons of Kikkoman®Less Sodium Soy Sauce

2 tablespoons of Kikkoman®Koterri Mirin®

directions

  1. Press the tofu to drain excess water, or microwave at 600W for 5-8 minutes to reduce moisture.
  2. Cut the imitation crab sticks into 3 cm pieces. Slice the green onions into 0.5-1 cm pieces.
  3. Have a large bowl, combine the hanpen, tofu, imitation crab sticks and seasoning ingredients (A). Mix well. 
  4. Divide the mixture into your preferred size and shape into patties.
  5. Heat sesame oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Cook the patties until both sides are golden brown.
  6. Make the dipping sauce: Mix the onion (grate), onion(chopped),green onion, less sodium soy sauce, ponzu sauce, kotteri mirin to make the dipping sauce.
