kikkoman products used:

ingredients

For Fried Tomatoes
⅓ cup all-purpose flour
2 eggs, beaten
⅔ cup Kikkoman® Sriracha Panko or Kikkoman® Coconut Panko
½ teaspoon dried thyme
⅛ teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon sea salt
½ cup avocado oil or any neutral vegetable oil
1 large beefsteak tomato, sliced into 4 slices about ½ inch thick

For BLT
4 slices bread, toasted if desired
4 fried tomatoes
2 pieces of leafy lettuce
4 strips cooked bacon
4 tablespoons mayonnaise

directions

  1. Add flour to a bowl, add eggs to a separate bowl and beat well. Add panko breadcrumbs, thyme, garlic powder and salt to a 3rd bowl.
  2. Coat each slice of tomato in flour completely. Then dunk in egg and coat in panko mixture. Set onto a plate.
  3. Heat oil in a non-stick pan over medium-high heat for 4-5 minutes. Add 2 slices of tomato at a time and fry for 3-4 minutes on each side. Repeat with remaining slices of tomato. Set fried tomato slices on a paper towel lined plate to soak up any oil.
  4. To assemble each sandwich, spread 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise on each piece of bread and top with 2 fried tomatoes, lettuce, and bacon. Enjoy right away.

THE STORY OF SOY SAUCE

Even people who love soy sauce and use it all the time are often surprised to learn what it is and how it’s made. We make ours from just four simple ingredients—water, soybeans, wheat, and salt. Those ingredients are transformed through a traditional brewing process—much like making wine or beer—that has remained unchanged for centuries.
