ingredients

For Meatballs
1 pound 85% lean ground beef
1 egg
⅓ cup almond flour
2 tablespoons finely chopped green onion
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 teaspoon minced ginger
1 cup + 2 tablespoons Kikkoman® Gluten-Free Hoisin Sauce, divided
2 tablespoons cooking oil

For Serving
1 cup leafy greens
6 slider buns (gluten-free)

directions

  1. Combine ground beef, egg, almond flour, green onion, garlic, ginger and two tablespoons of hoisin sauce in a large mixing bowl. Mix well. Form into 6 large meatballs. Freeze for 20 minutes to firm.
  2. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Brown meatballs for 8 minutes, turning regularly for even browning. Reduce heat to low. Add remaining hoisin sauce to skillet and simmer for 15 minutes, or until meatballs are fully cooked, stirring occasionally.
  3. Serve meatballs over greens on slider buns.
