Serve it with steamed vegetables, a simple salad, or over a bed of rice to soak up all that delicious sauce.

Tips and Tricks

  • For the best sear, make sure your skillet is fully heated before adding the halibut—this creates a beautifully golden crust.
  • If you prefer a baked version, try putting the halibut in the oven at 375°F for about 12-15 minutes, then finishing with the sauce.
  • Want extra richness? Whisk in a splash of heavy cream to turn this into a cream sauce.
  • Serve with roasted asparagus or cauliflower rice for a low-carb meal that keeps things light and fresh.

THE STORY OF SOY SAUCE

Even people who love soy sauce and use it all the time are often surprised to learn what it is and how it’s made. We make ours from just four simple ingredients—water, soybeans, wheat, and salt. Those ingredients are transformed through a traditional brewing process—much like making wine or beer—that has remained unchanged for centuries.
