About this recipe

Warm up with this comforting and flavorful Beef Noodle Soup! Made with tender sirloin, rich beef stock, and seasoned with Kikkoman® Sesame Oil and five spice, this quick and easy soup is ready in under 25 minutes. Perfect for a cozy and satisfying meal, topped with fresh bok choy and cilantro!

This spicy beef noodle soup combines tender, seared beef with a savory, aromatic broth that’s infused with classic spices like five spice and garlic. The addition of jalapeños gives it just the right amount of heat, making it a perfect dish for those who enjoy bold, spicy flavors. This recipe uses beef stock to create a deep, hearty broth, while Kikkoman® Sesame Oil adds a rich, nutty finish that complements the other ingredients beautifully.

If you’ve ever wondered how to make beef noodle soup at home, this recipe makes it easy. It comes together in under 25 minutes, so it’s perfect for weeknight dinners. The fresh bok choy and mushrooms provide texture and flavor, while the noodles soak up the delicious broth, creating a well-rounded and satisfying meal. This Asian beef noodle soup can also be adapted to your preferences—try adding extra vegetables or adjusting the level of heat to make it your own.

Tips and Tricks

  • For an extra flavor boost, marinate the steak in Kikkoman® Sesame Oil and a splash of Kikkoman® Soy Sauce for 15 minutes before searing.
  • If you prefer a more traditional braised beef noodle soup, you can use beef brisket instead of sirloin and let it cook longer for a more tender, melt-in-your-mouth texture.
  • To adjust the spice level, add more or fewer jalapeños, or consider adding chili oil to the broth for extra heat.

THE STORY OF SOY SAUCE

Even people who love soy sauce and use it all the time are often surprised to learn what it is and how it’s made. We make ours from just four simple ingredients—water, soybeans, wheat, and salt. Those ingredients are transformed through a traditional brewing process—much like making wine or beer—that has remained unchanged for centuries.
