- Preheat oven to 400F.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment, place the salmon onto the paper, skin side down, and set aside.
- Place the figs, orange juice, soy sauce, honey, ginger and garlic in a heavy bottomed saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat, simmering until the figs are soft and the mixture is thick (10 minutes). Season with salt and pepper.
- Pour the sauce over the raw salmon and the bake for 20 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
- Scatter green onion and orange slices over the fish to serve.
