Quick to cook and perfect for any occasion, this recipe is a go-to for weeknight dinners or casual entertaining.

The steak tips are seared to perfection, creating a caramelized crust while keeping the meat juicy and tender inside. Deglazing the pan with beef stock and whisking in butter creates a rich, silky sauce that enhances the savory notes of the steak.

Serve these steak bites with your favorite sides, like roasted vegetables or garlic mashed potatoes, for a complete meal. For those who enjoy experimenting, try cooking these as air fryer steak bites or adding a hint of garlic to the glaze for an extra burst of flavor. This versatile dish is sure to become a staple in your kitchen.

Tips and Tricks

  • For maximum flavor, marinate the steak for at least one hour, but overnight is even better for a deeper teriyaki infusion.
  • When searing the steak, let it cook undisturbed for the first few minutes to develop a golden crust.

ingredients

1 pound sirloin steak, cubed
⅓ cup Kikkoman® Teriyaki Marinade & Sauce
1 tablespoon avocado or vegetable oil
¼ cup beef stock
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 tablespoon chives, minced

directions

  1. Combine steak and teriyaki in a shallow dish. Stir to combine. Cover and refrigerate for 1-8 hours.
  2. Drain and discard marinade. Heat oil over medium-high heat in a large skillet for 2 minutes. Add steak and cook for 2 minutes undisturbed. Stir and cook 2-3 minutes longer, until steak is evenly browned. Transfer cooked steak tips to a serving bowl.
  3. Reduce heat to low. Add beef stock to skillet and deglaze using a wooden spatula to scrape up any browned bits of steak. Add butter to skillet and melt, about 30 seconds. Stir in chives.
  4. Pour sauce over steak tips and serve right away.

THE STORY OF SOY SAUCE

Even people who love soy sauce and use it all the time are often surprised to learn what it is and how it’s made. We make ours from just four simple ingredients—water, soybeans, wheat, and salt. Those ingredients are transformed through a traditional brewing process—much like making wine or beer—that has remained unchanged for centuries.
