ingredients

6 bone-in pork chops
6 peaches, halved and pit removed

For sauce/marinade
½ cup Kikkoman® Soy Sauce
¼ cup honey
2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 teaspoons fresh thyme, chopped

directions

  1. Whisk together ingredients for marinade in a small bowl. Reserve ¼ cup for brushing on the peaches.
  2. Place pork chops in a large shallow dish and pour the other ¾ marinade on top. Cover and refrigerate 2-4 hours.
  3. Heat gas grill to 450ºF over direct heat. Remove pork chops from marinade and discard marinade. Sear pork chops for 3 minutes on each side. Lower heat to 350ºF and continue to grill for 6-7 minutes depending on how thick your pork chops are. Place on a serving tray and rest while cooking peaches.
  4. Brush the cut side of peaches with reserved marinade and place on the hot grill. Cook for 5-6 minutes. Serve grilled peaches alongside pork chops.

THE STORY OF SOY SAUCE

Even people who love soy sauce and use it all the time are often surprised to learn what it is and how it’s made. We make ours from just four simple ingredients—water, soybeans, wheat, and salt. Those ingredients are transformed through a traditional brewing process—much like making wine or beer—that has remained unchanged for centuries.
