- Preheat oven to 350ºF and line an oven safe baking dish with parchment paper. Place salmon in baking dish.
- Heat butter over low heat in a saucepan until melted. Transfer melted butter to a bowl and stir in soy sauce, maple syrup, and garlic powder. Evenly brush or spoon 2 tablespoons of maple sauce on salmon pieces. Bake for 12 minutes.
- While the salmon bakes, stir chopped pecans into remaining maple sauce.
- Spoon remaining pecan maple sauce onto salmon and bake 12 minutes longer, until salmon is cooked through.
- Transfer salmon to a serving plate and drizzle with sauce from baking dish. Serve hot garnished with fresh thyme.
