Pork Ribs Brine

ingredients

1 gallon water
½ cup kosher salt
1 cup brown sugar
½ cup Kikkoman Soy Sauce
1 tablespoon garlic powder
2 slabs ribs

directions

Combine all ingredients in a large food-safe container. Whisk until salt and sugar are dissolved. Place meat into brine at least 2 hours or overnight.

Before cooking, rinse off brine and rub with the salt-free rub below:

¾ cups brown sugar
½ cup granulated sugar
2 tablespoons black pepper
2 tablespoons smoked paprika
2 tablespoons onion powder
2 teaspoons cumin powder
