The noodles are cooked in vegetable or chicken stock and topped with succulent shrimp flavored with Kikkoman® Teriyaki Takumi, Garlic & Green Onion, a rich, thick sauce that brings big-time flavor and umami to your bowl.
Tips & Tricks
- For an extra-flavorful broth, stir in 1 to 2 teaspoons of Kikkoman® Teriyaki Takumi, Garlic & Green Onion in step 1.
- Not craving shrimp? You can substitute any firm-fleshed fish, such as salmon, seabass, or snapper, cut into bite-size pieces.
- To pack in some extra protein, top your ramen with halved Soy Sauce Eggs or hard-boiled eggs.
- To garnish with omelet strips, beat 1 raw egg with 1 teaspoon of Kikkoman® Teriyaki Takumi, Garlic & Green Onion, heat 1 teaspoon oil in a nonstick skillet, pour in the beaten egg, cook until set, and then flip and cook 30 seconds longer. Transfer the omelet to a cutting board, roll it up jelly-roll style, and cut crosswise into thin strips.
- In addition to (or in place of) the pickled radishes, cilantro and green onion, you can add other toppings, including bean sprouts, shredded napa cabbage, watercress, or cooked vegetables, like broccolini, broccoli, corn, or bok choy.
- You can also add 1 cup of frozen vegetables, like shelled edamame, green peas, or corn, directly to the broth along with the noodles in step 1.
- If you like your ramen spicy, add a drizzle of Kikkoman® Sriracha Hot Chili Sauce.
