ingredients

1 1/4 lbs. lean ground beef
2 tablespoons Kikkoman® Soy Sauce
2 tablespoons lime juice
2 tablespoons chopped green onion
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
1/2 teaspoon minced garlic

4 burger buns, split
Kikkoman® Sriracha Mayo
Lettuce leaves
Fresh cilantro leaves, cucumber slices, and thinly sliced jalapeno peppers, for garnish
Optional: Bahn Mi Pickled Vegetables (see recipe)

directions

  1. Mix together all burger ingredients in a medium bowl. Shape into 4 very flat patties and set aside.
  2. Cook burgers on a well-oiled grill over medium heat for 3 to 5 minutes on each side or until they’re cooked to your liking. Lightly toast buns on the grill.
  3. Spread Kikkoman® Sriracha Mayonnaise onto bun bottoms and tops. Place lettuce on bun bottoms and top each with a burger. Add Pickled Vegetables and garnish with cilantro, cucumber and jalapeno slices

 

Bahn Mi Pickled Vegetables:
Prep time: 5 minutes
Cook time: 10 minutes (marinating time)
Yield: Makes 4 servings

1/2 cup matchstick pieces peeled daikon radish
1/2 cup matchstick pieces peeled carrot
1/3 cup Kikkoman® Rice Vinegar
2 tablespoons white sugar
1 teaspoon salt

  1. Stir together radish, carrot, sugar, salt and Kikkoman® Rice Vinegar in a medium bowl and let it sit for ten minutes.
  2. Drain and serve
