ingredients

8 ears corn
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, at room temperature
¼ cup Kikkoman® Hoisin Sauce
2 tablespoons honey
½ tablespoon Kikkoman® Gluten-Free Soy Sauce
½ tablespoons lime juice
2 teaspoons furikake (or sesame seeds)
¼ cup cilantro, coarsely chopped

directions

  1. Preheat grill to medium, 350 degrees.
  2. Soak corn in warm water for 10 minutes. Peel back the corn husks, leaving them attached, and remove the silk from the corn. Separate the husks into thirds and braid.
  3. Combine the butter, hoisin sauce, honey, soy sauce, and lime juice. Brush the corn with the butter and grill, turning often and basting with more butter until the corn is cooked and starting to get grill marks, about 10 minutes.
  4. Transfer the corn to a serving platter and sprinkle with the furikake and cilantro.

THE STORY OF SOY SAUCE

Even people who love soy sauce and use it all the time are often surprised to learn what it is and how it’s made. We make ours from just four simple ingredients—water, soybeans, wheat, and salt. Those ingredients are transformed through a traditional brewing process—much like making wine or beer—that has remained unchanged for centuries.
