ingredients

1 large ripe papaya
1/3 cup thinly sliced red onion
1/4 cup Kikkoman Teriyaki Marinade & Sauce
1/4 cup Kikkoman Rice Vinegar
1/4 cup vegetable oil
2 tablespoons honey
4 cups mixed salad greens, washed and drained

directions

  1. Cut papaya lengthwise in half; remove seed and peel. Cut fruit into 3/4-inch cubes. Combine papaya and onion in medium bowl.
  2. Measure teriyaki sauce, vinegar, oil and honey in screw-top jar with lid; cover and shake well.
  3. Drizzle 3 Tbsp. teriyaki dressing over papaya mixture; toss gently to evenly coat all pieces. Cover and refrigerate papaya mixture and remaining dressing 1 hour, gently stirring papaya mixture once.
  4. To serve, line 4 individual plates with salad greens and top with equal amount of papaya mixture. Serve remaining dressing with salad.
