Grilled kebabs on skewers served with flatbread, sliced cucumbers, tomato wedges, and a bowl of yogurt sauce on a platter.

Beef Kofta Kebabs

Ingredients

2 pounds 90% lean ground beef 
⅓ cup grated onion
3 tablespoons Kikkoman® Roasted Garlic Teriyaki Marinade & Sauce
1 teaspoon dried oregano 
1 teaspoon ground cumin 
½ teaspoon ground sumac
½ teaspoon onion powder 
½ teaspoon black pepper 
¼ teaspoon cinnamon  

For Tzatziki Sauce
1 cup Greek yogurt 
¼ cup grated cucumber 
¼ teaspoon salt 
⅛ teaspoon garlic powder 
⅛ teaspoon black pepper  

For Serving
Fresh oregano or basil
Pita bread 
Tomatoes, sliced
Cucumber, sliced  

Directions

  1. Stir together ingredients for tzatziki sauce and refrigerate until serving. Combine ingredients for beef kofta in a medium mixing bowl and mix thoroughly to combine.  
  2. Divide meat into 10 equal portions. Shape meat onto 8-inch metal skewers. 
  3. Heat a grill pan or outdoor grill to medium-high heat and grease with cooking oil. Grill for 8 minutes, rotating every 2-3 minutes for even cooking.  
  4. Serve hot garnished with fresh oregano, pita bread, cucumber slices, tomatoes and tzatziki sauce for dipping.
