ingredients

Secret Sauce
½ cup Kikkoman® Teriyaki Marinade & Sauce
¼ cup bourbon (or any scotch or whiskey)
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
3 cloves garlic, minced

1 ½ lbs. London broil
Fresh rosemary leaves (for garnishing)

directions

  1. To prepare marinade, place all Secret Sauce ingredients in a medium bowl and mix well. Remove 1/4 cup mixture and set aside in a covered container in the refrigerator.
  2. Place steak and remaining Secret Sauce in a large resealable bag and seal well; refrigerate for 2 hours (or for up to 24 hours).
  3. Allow reserved Secret Sauce to come to room temperature. Remove steak from bag and discard bag and marinade. Grill steak over medium heat for 4 to 5 minutes on each side or until meat is cooked to an internal temperature of 145°F for medium, or to your preferred doneness. Remove from grill and place on a large piece of foil; let stand for 5 minutes.
  4. Transfer to a cutting board and slice thinly against the grain. Drizzle with any accumulated juices and reserved Secret Sauce. Garnish with rosemary, if desired.

THE STORY OF SOY SAUCE

Even people who love soy sauce and use it all the time are often surprised to learn what it is and how it’s made. We make ours from just four simple ingredients—water, soybeans, wheat, and salt. Those ingredients are transformed through a traditional brewing process—much like making wine or beer—that has remained unchanged for centuries.
