Popcorn Chicken

Ingredients

Ingredients:

2 lbs Chicken Thigh, diced

3-4 Garlic cloves, minced

1 Egg

2 cups of Sweet Potato Starch

1 cup of Thai Basil

 

Seasonings:

Kikkoman®Oyster-flavored Sauce 1 tbsp

White Pepper 1 tbsp

Kikkoman®Soy Sauce 3 tbsp

Rice Wine 3 tbsp

5 Spice Powder ½ tbsp

Directions

  1. Cut the chicken into bite sized pieces.
  2. Marinate the chicken with minced garlic, egg, and all the seasonings.
  3. Coat the marinated chicken with sweet potato starch and let it rest for 5 mins.
  4. Heat the oil in a pot with medium high heat, fry the chicken until it turns golden brown.
  5. Double fry the chicken 1 min for that extra crispiness. 
  6. Add the Thai basil and fry for 30 seconds to enhance the flavor, then it’s done!
