Stir Fry Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich​

Ingredients

1 tablespoon cornstarch
2 tablespoons + 1 tablespoon Kikkoman® Less Sodium Soy Sauce, divided
1 teaspoon + 2 teaspoons + 1 tablespoon + 1 tablespoon Kikkoman® Sesame Oil, divided
Salt
Pepper​

½ cup mayo
1 medium onion, thinly sliced​
4 garlic cloves, diced ​
1 carrot, peeled and shaved
1 pound beef ribeye or sirloin, thinly sliced
1 packet Kikkoman® Broccoli-Beef Stir-Fry Seasoning Mix​

⅔ cup water
8 ounces mozzarella and cheddar, shredded​
2 hoagie rolls, split
1 cup broccoli florets, bite-size pieces, for side dish ​​​

Directions

  1. Marinate your beef: 1 tablespoon cornstarch, 2 tablespoons soy sauce, and 1 teaspoon sesame oil, salt and pepper. Mix and set aside. 
  2. Make your sandwich sauce, which consists of mayo, soy sauce and 2 teaspoons sesame oil. Mix and set aside. 
  3. Add 1 tablespoon sesame oil to the skillet.
  4. Sauté onion, garlic and carrot for 2–3 minutes.
  5. Push aside and heat 1 tablespoon of sesame oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add beef and cook until just browned. Turn heat to low.
  6. Mix broccoli and beef seasoning mix packet with ⅔ cup water until incorporated. Simmer until thickened. Add cheese and stir until melted. 
  7. Butter or light drizzle oil your hoagie rolls and put under the broiler until golden and crispy. Fill buns with your mixture. Top with sauce and scallions. Add broccoli and rice on the side.
  8. Serve hot and enjoy.
