ingredients

2 russet potatoes, thinly sliced
2 sweet potatoes, thinly sliced
2 tablespoons Kikkoman® Sesame Oil
2 tablespoons Kikkoman® Soy Sauce
1 lime, juiced
2 garlic cloves, chopped
1 tablespoon cilantro, chopped
1½ + ½ green onions, sliced and divided
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
2 tablespoons sour cream
1 tablespoon Kikkoman® Sriracha Hot Chili Sauce

directions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F. Spray baking sheets with cooking spray.
  2. Wash and then slice potatoes very thinly (using a mandolin is ideal). In a large bowl, combine sesame oil, soy sauce, lime juice, and garlic. Add thinly sliced potatoes and toss to coat. Marinate for 30 minutes.
  3. Arrange potato slices on prepared baking sheets, spacing them ¼ inch apart. Bake, rotating sheets halfway through (keep an eye on them so they don’t burn) until potatoes are crisp and golden brown, about 20 minutes. Spread out potatoes on parchment paper; let dry 5 minutes. Garnish with cilantro and 1½ of the green onions.
  4. Mix together mayonnaise, sour cream, sriracha, and the remaining green onion. Serve alongside the chips.

THE STORY OF SOY SAUCE

Even people who love soy sauce and use it all the time are often surprised to learn what it is and how it’s made. We make ours from just four simple ingredients—water, soybeans, wheat, and salt. Those ingredients are transformed through a traditional brewing process—much like making wine or beer—that has remained unchanged for centuries.
