Bold Umami with a Fiery Fermented Kick Turn up the heat with a sauce that brings the complex flavors of Korea and Japan together. Using red pepper paste and rich miso, this sauce offers a deep, “slow-burn” heat and a massive hit of umami. It’s the perfect choice for those who want their BBQ with a bit of an edge.
- Flavor Profile: A complex, spicy-savory blend of chili heat, salty miso, and sesame, rounded out by a sweet soy finish.
- Why You’ll Love It: Rich in fermented umami; provides a sticky, spicy glaze that caramelizes beautifully under a broiler or on a grill.
- Best For: Spicing up chicken wings or ribs, marinating firm tofu and pork belly, and drizzling over fusion tacos or spicy rice bowls.

Please click here for a chart of Kikkoman products containing ingredients that are part of the top eight allergens listed in the Food Allergen Labeling and Consumer Protection Act (FALCPA), as well as other common allergens, such as sesame and mustard.
Kikkoman Teriyaki Sauces have a small amount of alcohol since they are all made with traditionally brewed Kikkoman Soy Sauce. Our Soy Sauce is a fermented product like beer and is made from wheat, soybeans, salt and water. During the fermentation process, the wheat starches are broken down to sugars and part of the sugar is changed into alcohol. Also, some of our teriyaki sauces have wine or mirin (rice wine) as an ingredient.
For our sauces, the Best By Date is printed on the neck of the glass bottle or the bottle cap. Our seasoning mixes and gold-colored packaged soup mixes have a date printed across the top of the package back or embossed on the side of the packets. Please click to here view some examples.
