ingredients

1 pound broccoli
¼ pound fresh snow peas, remove the strings
3 tablespoons Kikkoman Sesame Oil
1 red onion, thinly sliced
1 red bell pepper cut into ¼ inch strips
2 teaspoons minced garlic
¼ cup Kikkoman Less Sodium Soy Sauce
½ tablespoon sesame seeds

directions

Trim broccoli leaving 1 inch of stem.  Cut remaining stems into small slices.  Place broccoli and snow peas in a saucepan of boiling water and cook for 1 minute, drain and rinse immediately with cold water then drain well and set aside. Heat a large wok or large skillet over high heat.  Add sesame oil, blanched broccoli and snow peas, red onion, red bell pepper, and garlic.  Stir-fry for 1 minute.  Add the soy sauce and stir-fry 1 minute longer.  Remove from heat and stir in sesame seeds.

THE STORY OF SOY SAUCE

Even people who love soy sauce and use it all the time are often surprised to learn what it is and how it’s made. We make ours from just four simple ingredients—water, soybeans, wheat, and salt. Those ingredients are transformed through a traditional brewing process—much like making wine or beer—that has remained unchanged for centuries.
